2. How to participate

2.1 Snake’s Gift Grab. The challenge is to use the arrow keys on your keyboard or the on-screen buttons on mobile devices to navigate Snake and help them collect as many presents as possible, scoring more points the more they collect! Ensure Snake doesn’t crash into themself as the tail grows longer and the game speeds up! If Snake crashes, the game will end.
2.2 In order to take part in the competition you can either go to the competition landing page (onebite.co.uk/christmas2024/ or click on the banner located on the onebite website (onebite.co.uk) during the game entry period. Once clicked, the user will be directed to a new page inviting the user to play, explaining the opportunity to win the £50 Amazon gift voucher.
2.3 Every time a user plays the game, they will be prompted to save their score & enter the competition. Users can play the game as many times as they wish.
2.4 All entries are free and require the users to enter by confirming their email address. See clause 10 for how we will use and store your data.
2.5 Entries which are incomplete, misspelt, invalid, lost or not received by onebite for any reason are void and will not be entered into this competition.
2.6 By entering the competition, you confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. Start date

3.1 The game will open and the Prize Draw will start at 09.00am on Tuesday 10th December 2024.

4. Closing date

4.1 The closing date for the Prize Draw will be at 23.59pm on 31st December 2024.

5. Selection of the winner

5.1 The winner will be selected at 2:00pm on Friday 3rd January 2025. and this will be based on the highest score achieved for all saved entries playing onebite’s Snake’s Gift Grab.
5.2 You acknowledge that you may be required to be used in non-paid publicity if you are selected as a winner.
5.3 If the winner declines the prize, onebite will select another winner at random to give the £50.00 Amazon gift voucher to. No alternative prize will be offered to the original winner.

6. Prizes

6.1 The prize is a £50.00 Amazon gift voucher.
6.2 The prize is subject to availability, and if unavailable onebite may provide an alternative prize of an equal value. There is no cash alternative for any prize.
6.3 The gift voucher is non-transferable, negotiable, and the winner is not permitted to re-sell or transfer the prize.

7. Restrictions and requirements

7.1 Please note the following restrictions and requirements apply: (a) The Prize Draw is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over. (b) There is no restriction on the amount of times an individual can play the game. (c) Entry is not open to employees of onebite, or their families.
7.2 onebite reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify you without notice if you tamper with the entry process or if you do not comply with these terms and conditions.
7.3 Our decisions in relation to the competition are final, and we reserve the right not to enter into detailed discussions in relation to the competition with you.

8. Notification of the results and receipt of the prizes

8.1 The winner of the £50.00 gift voucher prize will be contacted by email address provided.
8.2 The winner of the £50.00 gift voucher prize will be contacted on Friday 3rd January 2025 after 2pm.
8.3 Onebite will attempt to contact the winner 3 times. If onebite does not receive a response after the third attempt, onebite will select the second winner at random and they will be allocated a prize.

9. Charity donation

9.1 onebite’s chosen charity to support at Christmas 2024 is Reading Family Aid and its ‘Toys and Teens Toy and Gift Appeal’.
9.2 For every 10 registered plays of Snake’s Gift Grab, onebite will donate £10 to the above mentioned charity, via their Gofundme page.
9.3 onebite will keep a formal record of the number of plays and a transfer to the Gofundme page will be made in weekly installments up until the game closes on 31st December 2024.
9.3 There will be no alternative cash payment.

10. Data collection and storage

10.1 You have been invited directly by onebite to participate in this competition if you have previously granted onebite permission to use your Personal Data for marketing purposes, which may include contacting you by email AND/OR telephone AND/OR text message AND/OR post with information, news, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting. For more details, refer to our privacy policy. You may also be invited to participate if this competition is shared with you.
10.2 We will not store your Personal Data for any longer than is necessary in light of the purpose or purposes for which that Personal Data was originally collected, held and processed. When Personal Data is no longer required, all reasonable steps will be taken to erase or otherwise dispose of it without delay. For further information please refer to our Data Retention Policy which is available upon request.
10.3 Prize draw entries – Personal Data (email address) is collected through the entry form of this competition. This form is available only for the purpose of entering you into a prize draw. Personal Data gathered from this form will only be used for the purposes of contacting you if you are a winner, unless you opt in to receive marketing communications from us.
