We’re excited to welcome Isabel to onebite as our new Account Director. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and client services, Isabel brings a wealth of expertise across various industries.

Isabel’s extensive experience spans FMCG, corporate identity and branding, property marketing and B2B tech. Notably, she led client management at an ABM-focused agency, overseeing a major content marketing program for a telecom client. More recently, she managed content creation strategies for the global Salesforce EMEA account, covering 16 regions. Isabel has also delivered successful global and partner campaigns for corporate clients like Dell Technologies and AWS.

Could you give us an overview of your career so far?

My journey into marketing has been incredibly diverse and fulfilling. I began as a product designer, a role I enjoyed for seven years, relishing the creative process of bringing new products to life. Seeking new challenges, I transitioned into client services and have since worked with various agencies across multiple industries, including FMCG, branding, property marketing and B2B technology.

One of my standout roles was leading client management at an ABM agency, where I oversaw a comprehensive content marketing program for a major telecom client. At Velocity Partners, I managed the global Salesforce EMEA account, collaborating with colleagues on content strategies.

Before joining onebite, I focused on global campaigns at Metia, working with corporate clients including Dell Technologies, which was incredibly insightful and rewarding. Throughout my career, I’ve built trusted client relationships and am passionate about working with clients as an extension of their team and a true partner. I’m excited to bring my expertise in content, projects, and partnerships to the onebite team, helping to grow current clients and identify new opportunities.

What has been your biggest highlight so far?

A particularly rewarding moment in my career was when I worked as part of a team, closely collaborating with design legend Wally Olins to redefine Bain & Company’s global brand identity. Wally was such an influential figure in corporate identity and branding. It was fascinating to see his creative process and visioning firsthand.

Together, we focused on redefining how management consultants presented themselves and developed a new identity for Bain that was rolled out globally. Being part of the team that managed this high-profile project and working with Wally was an amazing experience. He really helped shape my perspective in the industry. It was so formative working side by side with someone of his calibre.

I was also extremely proud about winning an award for a marketing campaign I worked on. At the time, I was at an agency involved in property marketing. We took on promoting a major new shopping centre and retail park that was one of the top ten retail assets coming to the market.

Our campaign successfully attracted investment buyers, and the marketing materials we produced included a secure data room, dynamic video and premium investment brochure, which clearly stood out. Our work was also recognised when we won ‘Best Marketing Campaign: Retail, Leisure and Hotels Category’ at the Property Marketing Awards.

It was a team effort, and I was proud to be part of the winning group. While we hadn’t necessarily set out aiming for an award, it was further validation that our innovative, quality approach resonated and effectively achieved its goal for our client.

One quirky career highlight I look back on with amusement was organising a dog model casting for a client of a large Spanish supermarket cooperative. As strange as it sounds, being in a photographic studio surrounded by numerous dog breeds was quite funny, especially considering the varying noise levels they contributed.

For this project, we needed to showcase different dog breeds and foods visually. So we held a model casting where we brought in many dog breeds to potentially feature in a photo shoot. It was so fun seeing all the dogs and finding the perfect pooches to represent each food variant. This experience highlighted that the pet sector can be quite complex, with its diverse product types and breeds.

What led you to join us here at onebite?

I was drawn to onebite for several reasons. The calibre of the team impressed me right away, and I sensed a supportive environment where great ideas thrive. I’m excited to work with clients in the growing B2B tech space and to apply my extensive agency experience to help onebite clients succeed.

I’m particularly enthusiastic about mentoring the talented onebite team and contributing to our shared success. The organisation’s strong values around collaboration, creativity and client focus resonated with me from the start, and I’m eager to be part of the journey.

Which marketing trends and opportunities should organisations pay more attention to?

There are a few marketing trends that I think are particularly important for businesses to pay attention to right now.

Firstly, sustainability and purpose-driven marketing have become so crucial. I really believe organisations need to thoughtfully align their efforts with environmental and social goals if they want to resonate with customers.

I am also particularly enthusiastic about video content and storytelling. Done well, video is such an engaging format that can really help elevate a brand and capture attention. Video can serve as a versatile asset that can be repurposed into multiple formats, maximising its impact across various platforms. This is why I’d like to see more clients investing in high-quality video strategies.

Finally, I think businesses should be open to more creative, risk-taking ideas that go beyond conventional content formats. Marketing continues to evolve so rapidly – agencies need to challenge clients to think outside the box and experiment with interactive concepts.

Those are the specific trends on my radar. Authenticity, creativity and innovation will be more important than ever as customers become savvier and more purpose-driven in their choices.

What excites you most about working in marketing?

Several aspects of marketing excite me. I love the collaborative nature of agency work, the energy of working towards shared goals, and the thrill of seeing creative campaigns come to life. Growing clients and helping businesses succeed provides a real sense of accomplishment.

The variety and constant learning opportunities keep the work engaging. Each day brings new challenges and creative constraints, making my career in marketing continuously exciting.

Ultimately, I’m passionate about this industry because good marketing can make a significant difference for brands and people. This belief continues to drive me after more than 20 years in the field.

What does life outside of work look like?

I really enjoy spending time outdoors with my family. One of our favourite things to do together is explore the beautiful Surrey Hills near where we live – it’s always so rejuvenating to get out into nature.

As a lifelong creative, I also love visiting art exhibitions and museums whenever I travel. Architecture in particular fascinates me and I’ll often seek out interesting buildings to check out.

Music is another passion of mine. I adore discovering new artists, and there’s a great independent venue near us that regularly hosts intriguing bands across different genres.

When time allows, I try to focus on wellness too. Practising yoga was really helpful for me in the past. Moving forward, I’m motivated to carve out more me-time for fitness and self-care.
