Radius Connect, a medium sized telecommunications provider, was born out of a number of acquisitions of smaller, specialist regional providers across the UK. Mindful of how the M&A activity and integration of multiple local providers into a larger national brand could be perceived by the media and customers, we worked closely with Radius Connect to craft a PR strategy that addressed these concerns.
With clear, benefit-led messaging that focused on the enhanced expertise and service that only a national organisation with larger buying power could deliver, we were able to pre-empt any concerns and ensure all launch coverage was of positive sentiment.
In this campaign, we wanted to reach small business owners at both national and regional level, so our outreach targeted telecoms trade & channel media, small business press and a number of local outlets where the previous independent providers had specialised.
